KY Home Performance
KY Home Performance (KHP) helps Kentucky homeowners save money and energy while
improving the comfort of their homes.
- Do you have high energy bills?
- Is your heating and cooling system not keeping your home comfortable?
- Does your home have drafty windows and doors?
Installing replacement windows, new heating or air conditioning equipment, or adding
more insulation may improve your home’s energy performance. But if you want
to optimize your home’s energy efficiency, comfort, and substantially lower your
utility bills, the way to get the best results is with the comprehensive, "whole-house
approach" offered by KY Home Performance.
KY Home Performance Program Update
The KY Home Performance Program (KHP), funded through the American Recovery Reinvestment
Act, has successfully completed and awarded all available funding, including rebates
and below-market rate loans.
- KHP completed 1,006 single-family energy efficient retrofits resulting in total
development cost and investment of $10,817,929 across Kentucky.
- Work was completed in 70 of 120 Kentucky counties.
- Average energy efficiency per unit was 26 percent.
- Over 140 specially trained contractors/firms participate in KHP and creating jobs.
- 25 utility partners participate with KHP.
The program is currently transitioning to new funding sources so check back soon
for more information. However, certified energy efficient program professionals
can still help you make your home more cost efficient and comfortable.
Locate participating contractors and utility partners. Many
utility rebates and manufacture rebates are available. State tax
